The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is the largest museum in the United States dedicated to the art and science of filmmaking. Its 2021 grand opening was a significant cultural event requiring a strategic digital rollout across paid and owned channels.

In the lead-up to the grand opening, I designed a range of digital assets to build awareness and introduce the museum's brand to a global audience. Deliverables included paid social advertising, digital banners, and custom badges for the museum's mobile app feature called Hollywood Past & Present.

CUSTOM BADGES FOR MUSEUM’S APP
"Hollywood Past & Present" is a location-based feature in the museum's app that encourages visitors to explore Los Angeles landmarks connected to film history. Upon arriving at a designated location, visitors unlock a custom illustrated badge. I designed each badge to be visually specific to its landmark while remaining consistent with the museum's broader design system.
